On this day young couples meet each other and show their love with red roses, chocolates, candle light dinner which makes the atmosphere romantic and enjoyable. Nobody is sure about the origin of the Valentine's Day, according to one saying the days from the roman rule, where saint valentine was executed to death when he refuses to give up the Christianity. He was executed on February 14, 269 A.D his death symbolize the lover celebration. There is another romantic saying associated with the celebration of valentine day. Before death, St. Valentine left a letter for jailer's daughter, where he had a desire to be her friend and the letter ends with a note "From Your Valentine". Ever since that day, young couples send love messages to each other on this day.
There is another saying, in the Roman Empire the unmarried young boys and girls are supposed to meet during the festival, where they played a game. All girls write their names on a slip and all the slips are collected into a vessel. Young boys choose a slip and discovered one girl. The couple then supposed to enjoy whole festive season with each other with joy. This ritual was banned by roman king, Claudius; his clarification was that due to this festival young army men refuse to go on war. During that condition 'Saint Valentine bought a release from this bane. He was found to help the young couples to marry secretly and which brings death sentence for him.
