| Hanukkah is a delightfully fun holiday to celebrate with children, family members and friends. There are several Hanukkah activities through which children will be able to learn the various tradition and rituals about Hanukkah. Hanukkah, which is also known as the ‘festival of light’, is celebrated to commemorate the rebuilding of the temple that was destroyed by pagan soldiers. Lighting the menorah is one of the most important Hanukkah activities. In most families, kids have their own menorah and are allowed to light them themselves.

A menorah is lit at sunset, and the family must stay together until it burns out. There are so many Activities for Hanukkah celebration and party with interactive ideas of kids coloring pages, recommending reading kids books, printable, Jewish crafts, games, practice activities for toddlers, Hanukkah Lesson plan for preschool, and elementary children.
Many families sing Jewish songs or prayers while they burn the menorah. This is also an important activity performed during Hanukkah. Making the dreidel at home and playing with it is one of the ancient Hanukkah activities that are still continuing. One interesting Hanukkah activity found in many Jewish homes is to take a piece of Matzoh bread (similar to a cracker) wrapped in a napkin and hid it in the house. The child who finds it first is the winner and all the children are gifted with "gelt" chocolate coins wrapped in gold foil.
Preparing Hanukkah food is also a significant Hanukkah activity. The food features fried foods, like Sufganiyot, a Jewish jelly donut and Potato Latkes. All these Hanukkah activities offer a great way to teach children about the Jewish traditions.
