People all over the globe have to work on Christmas Eve. It is a day of homework for the approaching celebration. People buy gifts for family members and friends. Christmas Day Celebrations

On the Christmas Day the people participates in the Christmas parade and various other cultural events to have fun all over the day. The decorates their house with Xmas-tree, ornaments, wreaths and Christmas bells, The streets and churches are full of people to attend the prayer and singing Carols. A conventional Christmas mid day meal regularly consists of roast turkey and goose with turnips, squash, potatoes and cranberry sauce as a major course and crumble pies or plum pudding for dessert. However, people may eat dishes as diverse as spiced chicken wings, clam chowder and conventional food from the wide range of cultures. Many peoples put up their Christmas tree and other decorations on Christmas Eve. However, some do this earlier in Christmas month and just save a few special decorations, possibly for the confinement, to put on display on twenty fourth December.

Christmas Eve Celebrations

In some regions, a large confinement scene, maybe with live animals and actors playing the parts of Mary and Joseph, is set up on Christmas Eve Celebrations. Many people in the U. S. decorate their houses and cottages with seasonal decorations, although some peoples do this much earlier. The attraction of the decoration is often a Christmas tree decorated with tinsel, angels, fairy lights, stars and other seasonal stuffs. In the evening of Christmas, just before bedtime, many peoples, mostly those with children, will hang up stockings on the fireplace or the end of their bed. These Christmas stockings are often red with a white feathery trim, although they may be of any design and are often much bigger than the socks that they represent.

Christmas Celebrations with Santa Claus

Santa Claus, a mythological figure represents an ancient European saint. Children are informed that Santa comes to fill stockings with gifts during the night. He will enter to home via the chimney and fill their stocking with sweets, gifts and oranges. People who go to church on daily basis may go to a church service on the evening of twenty fourth December. It is known as midnight mass. Peoples exchange gifts in the evening of Christmas Eve and enjoyed the Christmas Eve celebration.

Whatever the date or the practices related with it, this day continues to be the most universally celebrated holiday around the globe, beyond the culture, language, and even religious beliefs.
